I’m Takeshi Young. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit www.takeshiyoung.com or contact me through the email links on this site. It covers this personal portfolio, not other websites linked from it.
Information collected and why
If you email me, I receive your email address, name if provided, and whatever information you include. I use that information to respond, discuss your inquiry, and keep relevant correspondence. Email is handled through Gmail. Please avoid sending sensitive information you do not need to share.
The site’s hosting and security services process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages, referring pages, and request times. This supports page delivery, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and site security. This site does not currently offer public account registration, comments, a contact form, newsletter signup, or online checkout.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Cloudflare for security, delivery, and traffic/performance measurement. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures visits and page performance so I can understand traffic and improve the site. Cloudflare’s separate security features may use cookies to distinguish visitors from bots and remember security checks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Web Analytics information.
Google Analytics and advertising pixels are not currently installed on this site. WordPress may set authentication cookies for authorized users who log in to manage it. Third-party media may use cookies or similar storage as described below.
Embedded content and external links
The homepage includes YouTube thumbnails and a privacy-enhanced YouTube player. The player can load and play automatically as you scroll near it, without clicking a play button. Loading thumbnails or the player sends technical information to Google. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean that no information is transferred or that all storage is disabled.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends Google the technical information needed to deliver them, including your IP address. Google handles its services under its privacy policy. You can also read about YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player.
Links to YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Salsa Vida, and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Those providers may collect information about your activity over time and across websites, depending on their services, your settings, and whether you are signed in.
Sharing, retention, and security
Information is processed by the hosting, security, analytics, email, font, and video providers described above as needed to provide their services. I may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the security of the site. I do not sell the personal information you send me by email or use it for targeted advertising.
Correspondence may be retained while relevant to your inquiry, an ongoing working relationship, or legal obligations. Technical logs and provider records follow the applicable service’s retention practices. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where those providers operate. The site uses HTTPS and access controls, but no online service can guarantee complete security.
Your choices and requests
You can control cookies and third-party content through your browser settings, although blocking them may affect videos or security checks. This site does not currently change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. Third-party services may respond differently under their own policies.
To ask about information I hold about you, or request access, correction, or deletion, email [email protected]. I may need to verify your identity and will handle requests as required by applicable law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, including the right to contact your local data protection authority.
Children’s privacy
This portfolio is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, please contact me so I can review and address it.
